Highly Detailed Chevrolet Camaro Design
The Camaro Ride-On is detailed in construction for an accurate appearance that kids will enjoy. The candy-apple-red exterior features the latest body design, which includes sophisticated molding and sleek accents. All around the car, details abound, including dual exhaust pipes, front and rear light displays, and small sidewall tires with silver rims. There are even rearview mirrors to complement the blacked-out windshield design. Capping it all off is the Chevy emblem located on both ends of the vehicle.
As authentic as the car's exterior is, the interior is just as noteworthy. The charcoal interior features a dual-seat design with realistic contours, headrest, and pretend seatbelt straps. Decal placement is easy, thanks to the molded dashboard and windshield, and a turning ignition key adds to the realistic design.
Easy to Operate and Two Speeds for Maneuverability
The car comes with two forward speed options. The driver selects between a low 2.5 mph speed and a maximum 5 mph speed using the gear shifter. For maneuvering, there is also a low-speed reverse option.
Operating the vehicle is as easy as pressing the gas pedal and steering. To bring the car to a smooth, complete stop, the driver simply has to release the pedal. This two-seat vehicle can accommodate a maximum weight capacity of 130 pounds.
Working FM Radio and MP3 Input
A fun driving experience isn't complete without music, which is why the car offers a working dashboard speaker. Kids can choose to listen to the working FM radio or plug in an MP3 player for playback over the speaker. The vehicle even has realistic car sound effects operated by pressing the interactive sound buttons on the dashboard. Kids can press the buttons to rev the engine, honk the horn, or peel out.
12-Volt Battery for Long Run Time
The car is powered by a 12-volt rechargeable battery located under the removable hood. Charging time is approximately 8 to 10 hours with the included A/C charger. Once fully charged, the vehicle can run up to 1 hour.
Our testers found the Chevrolet Camaro Ride-On to perform well. The vehicle arrived nearly fully assembled, requiring 30-minutes to install the steering column, seats, and dashboard. After an initial 8-hour charge time, the vehicle drove with sufficient power forward and backward and maneuvered well. The real working radio and MP3 player input added to the enjoyment, which made for a fun and realistic driving experience.
While kids will no doubt enjoy the ride, parents may have some concerns with the design's durability. The plastic materials, while sleek and attractive in design, are somewhat flimsy in construction. Also, the battery is not removable, making it necessary to place the car near an outlet for charging. Nevertheless, these concerns are small compared to the car's detailed design, maneuverability and music features.
